It’s been a few days since the Christmas party but I really wanted to preserve the memory of our gathering. The whole neighborhood showed up and there were 26 people in my home! That morning I scrounged in the garage, on a hunch, and I found the CD player. It had batteries in it! So, I pulled out the Christmas music and we all sang along, around the Christmas tree. I added battery lights to the tree, so it was lit up, sort of. We all brought gifts to the gathering. Funny, it was all cans and boxes of food. We had a good laugh about that. But I got away with a can of peaches and a package of gluten-free pasta. We read from the book of Mathew and reminded ourselves of the most important focus of Christmas. I still feel warm inside, days later, remembering how we are all pulling together to make life okay. Thank you, Lord!
